Description
Hi one of our clients is need a strong UNIX Admin for 3 month contract with potential to roll over full-time. This opportunity is located in Decatur, GA. This person should have 6-8 years experience in Solaris and AIX system administration installation, configuration, and deployment. Capacity planning and performance tuning. Extensive knowledge and experience supporting and troubleshooting Solaris networking services and protocols - TCP/IP, NIS, DNS, NFS, DHCP/BOOTP, FTP, SSH. Must also have experience supporting large and complex production environments (200+ nodes). The candidate will be required to have 3-4 years experience supporting and troubleshooting the Veritas products VxVM - Veritas Volume Manager, VxFS - Veritas File System, VCS - Veritas Clustering Server plus extensive knowledge of Perl and or shell scripting. Experience in SUN Enterprise range of servers (V440, V880, V1280, V490, V890). Thorough understanding of storage solutions (SAN , NAS , DAS, etc). The candidate should be responsible for being proactive and making improvements to current operations. (i.e.: central user management, ticketing system, monitoring).
