Description
We are currently looking for a SENIOR UNIX SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR to join our team in CINCINNATI, OH.

Job Responsibilities:

The SENIOR UNIX SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR will be responsible for installing, configuring, supporting, and maintaining UNIX system and application software on multiple platforms.

One will Maintain patch levels (PTF)s utilizing current Best Practices, develop and maintain system support procedures and documentation, provide project leadership for the planning and execution of major department projects, and provide guidance and advice to developers and users concerning system capabilities, software, hardware, and procedures.

One will monitor system performance and capacity, and recommend hardware, software, and procedural changes needed to handle forecasted growth and analyze and solve conceptual and complex problems/situations of a global nature.

Experience/Skills
REQUIRED SKILLS:

MUST HAVE 5+ years experience in UNIX Systems administration with HP-UX.

Skills to include:-

Scripting, systems analysis and performance tuning experience.

Operating systems software and server hardware support experience.

Data communications protocols, system design, implementation, support and multi-platform system integration experience.

Experience with third party UNIX tools.

Very strong customer focus with a positive attitude required.

DESIRED SKILLS:

AIX and/or Linux systems administration experience a very strong plus.

Product knowledge of TSM, Legato and Veritas backup solutions desired.

Experience with healthcare application-McKesson would be highly desired.

Understanding of disk arrays.

Project management familiarity.

ITIL background.
