InterFusion Technology is seeking a Unix Systems Administrator with the following skills:



Must Have Skills:



·


Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline and 8+ years of operating systems experience. Viewed as a well-developed technical resource capable of handling moderately complex assignment.

·


Required to have knowledge of the Sun Solaris 2.8- 2.9 Operating System.

·


Hardware support experience supporting Sun V880, E6500, and below. Subsystems include A1000, D1000, T3 arrays and other peripherals.

·


Must have an understanding of UNIX operations and infrastructure, hardware, management and troubleshooting tools. (i.e. system installation and configuration, system security, hardware and software troubleshooting)

·


Must be dedicated to excellent customer service; have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels; and ability to work effectively in a team setting.

·


Excellent time management skills with proven ability to effectively coordinate multiple tasks.

·


Familiarity with Remedy or other call tracking systems.

·


Ability to lift 50 lbs in normal performance of duties.

·


Knowledge of, and/or hands-on experience with any of the following:

Veritas Cluster Services

·


HP-UX Service Guard

·


HBA multipath HW and SW

·


EMC Celerra, Clariion, Symetrix SANs

Desired Skills:

·


Experience in the power production industry or other critical infrastructure service industries is a plus.



Deliverables / Job Duties:

·


Performs a variety of complex assignments associated with managing and controlling computer operating systems.

·


Sets up and maintains a variety of server-class hardware and software.

·


Analyzes system faults, troubleshoots, and runs diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware to detect problems.

·


Installs developed software during various phases of testing.

·


Reviews and prepares documentation for system configuration control.

·


Recommends methods and techniques to be used as solutions to issues.

·


Initiates preventive maintenance on the operating systems as well as repair to system/environment problems.

·


May participate in the creation/maintenance of the overall management plan. Works on complex problems.

·


Interacts with management on matters concerning several functional areas.

·


May be responsible for the technical direction, leadership, and training of less experienced staff.
