Description
Our client in seeks a Sr. Unix administrator to design and develop new technical infrastructure systems, working with UNIX/BSD/Linux (Free BSD and Debian) and Windows, in partnership with both peers and customers. Assist with the management of a diverse systems network. Responsibilities:You will design and architect IT systems and develop implementation plans must be able to define, monitor and troubleshoot system performance Able to perform capacity planning Can establish, document, maintain, and monitor compliance to security policies Liaise with outside vendors where applicable Review/update maintenance agreements Resolving advanced technical issues escalated from Help Desk Excellent diagnostics and repair of systems and networking problems. Education:B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent experience Minimum 3 years experience in a networking or server support role Must have: *NIX administration (e.g., security and availability) Backup software (Legato) Some scripting languages (Bash, Perl, Python) VPN Virtualization and Citrix experience a plus Switched and router environment Multi-tasking, self-motivated fast learner Some management experience a plus
