We currently have an exciting opportunity for a UNIX Systems Engineer to join our team in Burbank, CA.

The UNIX Systems Engineer will have a focus on core UNIX Services and programming in support of animated feature film production.

Responsibilities:
  • Programming tools for core services in C++, perl and python
  • UNIX Server design and administration including IMAP, LDAP, Sendmail, DNS, NIS, Samba, Syslog, CUPS, etc.
  • Design, administration and tuning of a high-performance Linux computing environment.
  • System automation through the use of scripting.

    Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Graphics, related field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years experience managing large-scale UNIX environments
  • Strong understanding of core networking concepts including TCP/IP and NFS
  • Experience working with Linux package management systems such as 'rpm' and 'yum'
  • Well developed programming and scripting skills including C++, Perl and Python
