User Experience Designer - UX - UI- PHP - Javascript- HTML - XHTML - CSS - Photoshop - Illustrator

If you are a User Experience Designer living within commuting distance to San Francisco, please read on.

Well-funded startup seeks an exceptional User Experience Designer.

What you need to have:
- BA/BS in design or related field (preferred)
- 3-5 years as a key member of a user experience team through the launch of a successful consumer Web site
- Must be a creative and hands-on user interface specialist who combines a great eye for user centered design with strong hands-on development skills
- Must be fluent in all things web-design, including mastery of Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML, CSS and cross-browser compatibility best practices.
- Expert-level skill in creating lean, cross-browser, standards-compliant HTML/XHTML & CSS
- Ability to rapidly create visual mockups using Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator or equivalent design software
- Web development experience (PHP/JavaScript) for application prototyping highly desirable
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, highly iterative startup environment

Responsibilities:

- Working alongside product managers and engineers, you will help conceive of new features, rapidly prototype wireframes and mockups, and translate those ideas into full, standards-compliant HTML/CSS pages for implementation.
- Responsible for setting forth site-wide style guidelines, ensuring that the site HTML/CSS passes W3C validation, and making sure that the designs are lean, clean, and usable
