BASIC FUNCTION: As a member of a multi-disciplinary project team, delivers quality user interface design solutions that meet user needs, business needs, and project scope, schedule, and budget considerations. Responsibilities include visual design, interaction design, information design, project management, DHTML development, UI documentation, and establishment of enterprise-wide UI patterns, standards and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in User Interface Design, Interaction Design, HCI, Digital Media Design, Human Factors, Communication Design, Computer Science or related fields (with relevant MIS courses or degree, additional courses or degree in fine arts, graphic design, industrial design or similar), or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 5 years UID experience as a key member of a design team.Comprehensive knowledge of and experience applying and communicating UID/Usability principles, standards, practices, theory and methodologies. Strong aesthetic sense. Shows imagination, originality and expressiveness. Ability to approach problems from multiple vantage points, creating a variety of viable design solutions. Strong analytic and problem solving skills with high attention to detail. Excellent visual, oral and written communication / presentation skills as evidenced by sketches, storyboards, wireframes, screen mock-ups, flow diagrams, simulations, etc.Ability to work independently on several concurrent assignments and direct others using sound time management, organization and delegation skills. Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively with professionals at all levels in a corporate environment. Advanced knowledge and application of Adobe Photoshop, XHTML, JavaScript and CSS, and experience with Microsoft Office is required. Experience with AJAX, XML, XSLT, Adobe Dreamweaver, iRise and Microsoft SharePoint Portal is desired.df-tc
