User Interface (UI) Lead Developer (Java/.NET) (#8420-24-MH1423)

A Thompson Technologies client has an immediate need for a UI Lead Developer for a permanent/direct-hire opportunity in Milford, CT.

In this role, the UI Lead Developer will be responsible for developing advanced concepts in the creation, design, development, coding, testing, debugging of software products/systems and beta support for assigned software programs, applications and projects.

Requirements:

• BS Computer Science required, MS a plus.
• Must be technical lead with UI experience in developing UI components for Web applications.
• 7-9 years of solid programming experience. The ideal candidate comes from a C/C++ background and transitioned to Java/J2EE and/or C#/.NET.
• Web UI development using JSP, JavaScript, XSL, AJAX, Web 2.0.
• Working knowledge of XML and XML based technologies.
• Comfortable working on both NT and UNIX.
• Exposure to database systems preferred. Understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills a MUST.
• Must have the ability to architect complex designs and clearly articulate such designs on paper for VERY short development cycles (3 -6 months).
• Fully knowledgeable about object-oriented programming, computer or interpreter techniques, Embedded systems relational databases and new/advances programming language.
