User Technical Support Technician III

Position requires Associate's degree with 5 years of related experience OR equivalent experience and training.

A technical professional to provide remote deployment support to technicians installing new hardware and software deployed in the infrastructure. Provide 2nd level support of the network's helpdesk to include troubleshooting of user and desktop issues. Test new hardware and software prior to manual or automated deployment. The candidate will also develop installation and support documentation for new deployed hardware and software configurations. Knowledge of Altiris software deployment and\or VOIP Deployment is a plus but not a requirement for this position.

Technical background

A minimum two years of Windows AD experience

Exchange 2000 and Windows 2000 systems administration

Should be familiar with Windows AD, Group Policy Objects and security settings

MCP/MCSA/MCSE Windows 2000 or 2003

Experience with government contracts and large enterprises recommended

Highly desire candidate with technical writing experience

Strong oral and written communication skills

Capacity to gain a thorough knowledge of the relevant specialty area

Business will be conducted Reston, VA and Pentagon City. Some local travel will be required.

US citizenship is required. Candidate must pass a TSA background (Form SF85) and credit check.

Work hours are from 3 PM to midnight Monday through Friday.
