Description
Our client is located in the greater LA area and they are in search of a strong VAX/Cobol programmer. The ideal candidate will possess approx. 5 to 7 yrs of VAX programming experience, ideally using an Oracle relational database backend, as well as old fashioned ISAM access databases. Experience with Payroll or accounting systems is highly recommended. Day to day job duties will include, but not limited to:
--> Determine and document system requirements
--> Develops specifications for new systems and system changes
--> Develops code, test, debug and install applications
--> Reviews and approves technical and operational work products
