VBA Programmer

VBA Programmer - Newtown, CT Publishing Firm needs short term - VBA Programmer to assist in the completion of an in-house publishing system. All work must be performed on site in Newtown CT. Office hours 8:30 - 4:30. Anticipated project duration is 3 weeks.

We have a short-term project need for an expert level VBA developer with plenty of Microsoft Word automation experience. The candidate should be very familiar with the object model, classes, creating dialog boxes, and working with COM in relation to office automation. This particular job will use Microsoft Word VBA to automate desktop publishing and mass production of documents linked to SQL databases. The candidate needs to be very comfortable with using Microsoft Word VBA, Microsoft Excel VBA and SQL commands all together to create solutions that integrate data access, charting, and spreadsheet and word processing functionality. Finally, the candidate must be comfortable creating error handling and exception routines to trap various error conditions. Knowledge of Canon print control language and tools would be useful
