Windows/VC++ Consultants System Development Intermediate/Senior System Developer (Sophis) - Job Specification This position is a Full time software development role within CM-IT. This position requires considerable knowledge of multi-tier system development techniques and experienced in all project cycles. Knowledge of the financial markets, derivatives products and accounting systems is preferred. The position involves implementing Sophis, an equities and derivatives trading and accounting system. The following is a list of the activities associated with the role: Proactively participate in the project development strategies, system design, and in delivery time lines assessment Based on the business requirements, define implementation designs and plans. Customize the Sophis system to new financial products and create and modify new Graphical User Interfaces. Implement and enforce the firm?s security guidelines and other policy restrictions relevant to the task at hand Ensure Quality Assurance by working in concert with the QA group. Document all procedures, and ensure orderly transfer of knowledge to the post-implementation system support team Conform to all IT standards for developments and security Provide level 2 support to the business users of the systems. PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS: Computer Science, or College degree in Computer Information Systems/Computer Programming.df-tc
