VMware Delivery Engineer - VCP

Go-to VMware Partner has multiple needs for VMware Certified Professionals (VCP's) for Solutions/Systems Engineering roles. There are multiple positions for the Washington DC area.

If you are a VMware Delivery Engineer, Professional Services Engineer, or Systems Engineer with strong experience implementing ESX 3.5 & 4.0, please read on!

What you need for this position:
- A current VMware Certified Professional certification (VCP) is a MUST
- At least 3+ years of experience in customer-facing positions as a professional services engineer or consultant
- Strong experience installing, configuring and managing VMware ESX 3.5 and 4.0
- Experience on VMware View (VDI), Site Recovery Manager-SRM, and VMware Lab Manager
- 5 to 8+ years relevant experience in Infrastructure and System Admin
- At least several years experience in infrastructure architecture and design of complex distributed systems environments, including failover techniques, recovery/rollback, and application partitioning
- Solid practical Unix or Linux systems administration skills
- Understanding of computer server architectures, including peripheral interfaces (SCSI, RAID, Ethernet) and multi-processor designs (SMP)
- Understanding of systems management concepts, processes and standards (eg SNMP); capacity/performance management and tuning; and storage and network management

What you'll be doing:
- Combination of Enterprise Engineering for client VMware projects (with a focus on the Delivery side).
- Utilizing both your technical and project management experience to lead teams through project completion
