They are seeking a VP, Chief Architect to drive the conceptualization and implementation of company-wide enterprise architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Reports directly to the Global CIO
• Work with business and technology stakeholders help to set technology vision, direction and strategic objectives that ensure that eProduct strategies are designed, built and deployed using technology best practices while ensuring the best possible customer experience.
• Own the strategy and program to drive complexity out of the application estate
• Institute policy, program and standards that ensure IT development and deployment is done within the context of industry best practice.
• Drive program that supports increasing the organizations capacity for innovation
• Formulate competitively differentiating product breakthroughs
• Define high-level design and requirements, where appropriate leading development efforts and prototyping.
• Establish governance structures that will serve to support the enterprise architecture work
• Improve the overall architecture competency and capability firm wide and promote technology best practices.
• Create long term strategy prioritization plan for shared architecture development across the organization that supports integrated products.
• Act as the architectural evangelist, socializing and marketing the benefits of key architectural initiatives to senior leaders throughout the organization defining and driving common architectural standards across the organization.
• Responsible for enterprise architects.
• In partnership with Division CTO's, drive the advancement of the IT strategy.
• Enhance and develop product by supporting due diligence and planning for acquisition integration, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
• Lead the Architectural Governance Counsel.
• Define and drive common architectural standards across organization.

Requirements:

• Innovative thinker with excellent analysis and planning skills specifically aligned with driving architecture best practices broad and deep throughout a product development (engineering) organization while at the same time being able to articulate and speak convincingly on technology trends and trade craft
• Software Architect committed to providing exceptional customer, user experience.
• 10 years in medium to large company with experience leading large, strategic architectural initiatives in the online industry
• 5 years in global environment.
• Strong background in Web based software products
• Strong business acumen, with experience in understanding and shaping technology investments in support of company strategy
• BS/BA in technology-related studies; MBA or MA/MS in technology related field preferred.
• CTO/VP of similar disciplines such as Systems Architecture, Engineering, Research & Development, Internet Technology, Global Architecture & Strategy, Chief Internet Technology or Fellow of medium to large company.
