POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the identification, development and evaluation of new business opportunities that will assist the Division in the attainment of its financial goals and support the long-term goals and objectives of the Division by increasing the Company's presence and market share for disease management services.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
? Initiate, establish and maintain effective business relationships with senior executives and key disease management decision-makers with major health plans, healthcare brokers and managed care organizations.
? Implement on a regional basis health plan focused disease management strategies, tactics and initiatives.
? Provide feedback to operational management regarding the Company's disease management service offerings and provide input to ensure the Company maintains a competitive differentiation and market leadership position in the breadth of its disease management portfolio.
? Participate in the contracting process with health plans to ensure contracts are concluded expeditiously and competitively.
? Responsible for creating synergistic and cross-selling disease management opportunities for the company and capitalizing on existing health plan contracts.
? Propose and implement territory marketing plans directed toward health plans to expand the companies disease management business.
? Analyze and stay abreast of competitive activities in the disease management marketplace and propose effective plans and programs for growth in response to these activities.
? Provide input to Sr VP on the effectiveness of disease management sales and marketing activities and assist in the establishment of disease management growth strategies and tactics.
? Provide educational in-services on disease management services to benefit consultants so they are can offer to their clients.
? Coordinate with Sales Project Manager our responses for RFPs, RFIs finalist presentations in order to add new clients to the company.
? Define and implement a customized sales process for our clients in order to increase number of disease management clients for the company.
? Develop and coach identified team members for finalists' presentations in order to increase number of new clients for the company.
? Coordinate transition of sold new account to Implementation Team to ensure successful program.
? Represent the company at professional shows in order to develop and promote positive relations.

PROBLEM SOLVING/DECISION MAKING
? Prioritize opportunities with new clients.
? Setup and travel to meet with potential clients, benefits consultants, and health plan providers.
? Ensures review of documents including confidentiality agreements by the Legal Department.
? Decisions not to respond to RFPs and business opportunities need to be discussed with SVP.
ACCOUNTABILITY/DIMENSIONS/SCOPE
? The incumbent is responsible for the growth of total disease management revenues within the assigned territory.
? The incumbent identifies potential business partners and negotiates agreements in order to increase market share and increase Division revenues. This position reports to the Senior VP Health Enhancement Sales - Health Plans Management and works closely with Senior Management and Implementation staff. In addition the incumbent has extensive contact with outside contacts such as health and benefit plan consultants.
? At all times, the incumbent must be aware of and adhere to all federal and state laws and regulations in performing the duties of this position. The incumbent must be aware of and adhere to the laws and regulations addressing relationships with patients, suppliers and referral sources. The incumbent must be familiar with and adhere to the companies 'Code of Conduct' and its Compliance Policies and Procedures.

TECHNICAL, MANAGERIAL, AND HUMAN RELATIONS SKILLS
? BS degree or equivalent work experience plus 5-7 years of disease management related experience calling on and negotiating with "C" level executives in national or regional health plans, or Fortune 1000 employers.
? High level of understanding of disease management services and health plan benefits.
? Excellent oral and written communication skills.
? Strong negotiating skills.
? Highly organized and effective time management skills.
