Description
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of the information and technology systems

  • Facilitate communication between staff, management, vendors, and other technology resources within the organization.

  • Direct the operational activities of the Information Technology department:


    • Facilitate and set company-wide IT priorities short, mid and long term

    • Set operational objectives

    • Allocate resources

    • Define measurable metrics

    • Define and outline company-wide continuous improvement program based on subscriber cost, customer satisfaction and employee development

    • Align the IT organization to ensure appropriate support for the business

    • Define roles and responsibilities

    • Implementation, migration and operation of a new Data Center


  • Direct the development, analysis, implementation, and operations of information systems and data processing

  • Ensure that systems meet the needs of all departments and recommend changes and/or enhancements to current systems

  • Oversee an annual budget of over $50 million

  • Provide solutions to:


    • Improve speed of IT deliverables through concept, design, build, test and implementation

    • Eliminate inefficiencies

    • Develop rigorous, business-relevant metrics and scorecard for IT


  • Define auditing procedures and techniques to:


    • Evaluate effectiveness of internal controls

    • Measure and test compliance with company policies and procedures

    • Reinforce and enhance the reliability of financial and operating information systems and processes that ensure regulatory compliancy is part of the fabric and routine of the operations


  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure protection of enterprise IT assets

  • Create, maintain and enforce written policies and procedures regarding all computer operations in the IT Department and in compliance with PCI and SOX requirements

  • Oversee an online 24/7/365 production environment

  • Guide major capital expenditures, in-house staff and offshore development resources

  • Ensure overall IT system security is established with appropriate reporting and monitoring tools

  • Partner with functional areas and businesses to ensure alignment with their needs and appropriate service levels



Education and/or Experience

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems and/or equivalent education and experience. Masters Degree preferred.

  • 7 to 10+ years progressive managerial experience in the Information Technology field as a CIO or Director in a diverse environment

  • Experience in a high transaction, complex business including data centers, retail and wholesale payment processing, online transaction processing, and customized mission critical applications

  • Significant budget experience as well as the ability to develop a business case for IT investment

  • Strong project management skills with focus on details of the operation

  • Experience supporting customer facing applications and internal user requirements

  • Experience designing workflow and customer relationship solutions

  • Proven work experience with telecommunications (including call center design, interactive voice response system and computer telephony integration) help desk, infrastructure design, data management, system management, and applications

  • Experience developing, negotiating, and executing IT service level agreements and vendor contracts

  • Prior Project Office (PMO) management experience desired
