VP Of Infrastructure

We are seeking a well qualified VP of Infrastructure who will lead the setup and management of the technology Infrastructure Shared Services group for our client s Chicago, Toronto and Des Moines locations. This person must be open to 50% travel.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Will consider local candidates only.

* BS in Computer Science or Engineering; advance technical or business degree preferred.

* ITIL Certification is a big plus.

* Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies.

* 10 years of leadership experience in running organizations for key infrastructure components such as mainframe, database servers, network and security infrastructure, virtualization technology, and storage technologies.

* Strong leadership skills and a demonstrated track record of leading large operations.

* Experience building shared service organizations and off-shoring of IT services.

* Experience initiating and leading the development and implementation of high profile projects and change programs.

* Ability to envision, establish, inspire and lead a regional infrastructure team.

* Ability to inspire internal and vendor teams to achieve the highest possible levels of customer satisfaction. Duties include championing operational excellence initiatives involving the continued maturing of ITIL-based processes.

* Advanced knowledge of IT Service Management programs and ITIL.

* Understanding of insurance business including asset accumulation and risk management businesses, insurance concepts, and IT operations metrics is a big plus.
