Release Planning Manager

The Release Planning Manager (RPM) is responsible for mapping out mid- and long-term strategies and tactical plans for all major changes associated with Oracle-PeopleSoft environment. This includes Oracle-PeopleSoft modules yet-to-be-implemented, major module upgrades and /or bundles, major PeopleTools upgrades, major fixes and integration of non-Oracle-PeopleSoft applications.

The RPM will plan new releases by working closely with the SMART team and company vendors at all tiers, including software, hardware and systems integrators. The RPM will understand the impact of new releases on CFCs current Business Plan and future requirements. The RPM will work closely with the Business Impact Analysts and Manager of Vendor Relations to guide' CFC Tier 1 Vendors' to make releases with a full understanding of their positive or negative impact on CFC.

The RPM will schedule, test, and carefully orchestrate deployment plans effective for both mid- and long-term. The RPM will introduce the changes and be fully involved in the initial phase of these releases.

Duties include:
- Driving the release strategy.
- Determining the readiness of each release based on release criteria.
- Providing a packaged release for all changes deployed into production and only deploying changes approved by SMART management.
- Presenting changes for approval and tracking them throughout the release process.
- Building and managing valid test environments in the development phase of the new release.
- Defining configuration management to assess the impact of changes to the IT environment and to provide a definitive store for the release package.
- Traveling (less than 50%) including US and international destinations.

Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in related field. PMI certifications preferred.
- 7+ years of release management experience in a large-scale IT environment (preferably in a hosted software services, banking, financial, or insurance industry).
- Extensive large project management experience.
- Experience with release planning, risk management tools, standards, and strategies preferred.
- Significant experience with Oracle-PeopleSoft Finance and HCM modules. Version 8.8 preferred.
- EPM exposure preferred.
- Clear understanding of SDLC and PMLC.
