VP Sales, GHS Emerging Markets –Western U.S.

The VP Sales, GHS Emerging Markets will sell and market strategic, high-quality population healthcare services to commercial customers for our Government Healthcare Solutions organization.The successful candidate will also help execute product/program launches for new and existing customers.

Responsibilities include:


Identify and close new business opportunities within existing accounts and with new commercial clients.


Lead new sales efforts from initial client meetings through contract negotiations and signing.Qualify, research, track and develop leads into viable business opportunities, making clients aware of ACS’ services and capabilities.


Monitor competitors and stakeholders and attend conferences/trade shows to stay informed of innovations and services that can enhance current programs or bids for new programs.Collect research and make recommendations based on findings.


Build and maintain network of colleagues, partners and customers to share information and obtain prospects.


Develop and make business case presentations to clients and industry conferences.Support other staff presentation opportunities with assistance of presentation and collateral materials.Add value and content to customer proposals.


Recommend and initiate enhancements to the sales and marketing operation. Assist program development and launch efforts.Participate in corporate operations and clinical leadership with recommendations to maintain, improve or enhance specific programs and outcomes.Offer support to operations staff in readiness reviews/SWOT analysis and strategic planning launches.


Communicate accurate sales forecasts and develop and deploy prospect strategies.Establish goals, analyze growth and provide accurate, complete, and timely submission of required progress reports, forecasts, quotations, budgets, and rates.


Protect the interests of the Company in accordance with legal requirements and governmental guidelines.

Position Requirements:


B.S. degree in related field or equivalent experience desired.


Proven track record of Consultative Sales experience marketing professional services and/or programs to Fortune 500 companies.Sales of programs to large commercial health plans or major self-insured employers a plus.


Healthcare sales experience preferred, but not required.


Demonstrate an understanding of complex pricing and cost structures in bid preparation.


Ability to manage lengthy sales cycles


Strong presentation, sales, negotiation and influencing skills


Demonstrate leadership ability and ability to work as a team member
