Description
Job Summary: Lead, manage and support strategic & corporate initiatives for development and realization of specific revenue programs. Lead, in a matrix environment, a series of multi-disciplinary sales teams towards capture of specific revenue opportunities, and as required, act as a senior sales specialist and/or consultant to those teams and the company. Identify other initiatives to drive profitable revenue growth (product management, product development, sales, marketing, client relations, etc) and assist in developing action plans and/or business cases to achieve sales team initiatives. Facilitate “internal consulting” projects, perform research activities and executive briefings, as applicable. As appropriate, identify, negotiate and manage business terms with clients and/or partners.


Essential Functions:

1. Serves as a sales leader and facilitate, lead & support identified revenue programs. Fully responsible for revenue outcome.

2. Will act as sales lead, and in some cases, close business with prospect or client

3. Assists in the development of business plans for new revenue opportunities and may also help grow select new revenue opportunities, as appropriate.

4. Ability to work effectively and gain credibility and respect of others. Ability to lead and persuade others, positively influencing the outcome of team efforts.

5. Manages and leads the specific activities and identifies tasks and responsibilities of the revenue project teams. Deploys internal resources as required to capture revenue opportunities.

6. Contributes to business growth by prioritizing potential revenue opportunities and evaluating potential investments and partnerships

7. Develops and maintains working relationships with other functional groups within TSYS and with partner, client and vendor organizations.


Qualifications & Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or related field required; MBA preferred.
2. Five to ten years of experience in one of the following job functions: (a) internal consultant or senior member of the sales group at a top 50 Acquirer or ISO, and/or (b) senior sales professional in financial services having managed a direct sales team.
3. Five or more years experience in the payments industry (Visa, MasterCard, First Data, NPC, Global Payments, etc.)
4. Excellent oral, public speaking, written, and presentation communication skills, including effectiveness communicating with and persuading C-level executives. (note: must be sales presentation expert)
5. Proficient project and time management skills
6. Good financial modeling, financial analysis and spreadsheet skills
7. An assertive team player who plays to win, with a demonstrated ability to lead change and possess effective decision making skills
8. Cross-functional expertise in the at least two of the following areas: contracting, negotiating, deal structuring, business valuation, accounting theory, strategy, and product management
