Title: VP - Systems Engineer
Software firm located in Atlanta, GA seeks a VP-Systems Engineer.

Skills:

BS in Computer or Electrical Engineering, MS preferred
7-10 years of experience
Ideal candidate will be a Software/Firmware engineer with some experience in Hardware design.
Experience managing engineers and dealing with customers/vendors.
Strong communication skills are required; engineers who have supported customers in the embedded field would be preferred.
Excellent knowledge of PC Architecture, and standards such as PCI-X, PCI.
Experience with storage embedded systems is strongly preferred.
Experience with one of the protocols; iSCSI, FCP, FC, SCSI , Parallel SCSI is a must.
Candidates must have strong TCP/IP programming experience at Kernel level.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
The System Engineer (SE) provides pre-sales technical support to company. Sales Reps and customers covering all of the company's products. The SE will make pre-sales calls on prospective clients and act as the technical account manager for existing customers.
The SE is the focal point for customer evaluations and demos.
The SE is expected to stay current with all industry and competitor technology and trends.
The SE will work in tandem with the Sales Reps in fulfilling sales goals and will be a focal point in case of a technical post-sales escalation for current customers.
The Systems Engineer must be self-motivated and an excellent problem solver.
