Ajilon Consulting has an opening for a Vice President of IT for a permanent position in Westminster. Local candidates are preferred. Looking for someone who has been in this role previously. This Senior IT leadership role is for the operating divisions. They will have complete ownership in the establishment of IT strategy and its alignment with business objectives and results. They will directly reports to division's Chief Operating Officer and work with parent company technology groups.

Responsible for all IT development activities. This includes responsibility for applications development, reengineering business processes, outsourcing, budgeting, and resource planning. Tracks a broad range of emerging technologies to determine their maturity and applicability to the enterprise. Assesses the relative impact of emerging technology to strategic business needs and interprets their meaning to senior leadership team. Participates in business technology planning, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems as related to the company's competitive position. Understands the organization's core IT competencies and the value they bring to business processes for a competitive advantage, interacts with internal and external customers to ensure continuous customer satisfaction. Responsible for working with business leaders to develop and manage capital spending. Member of the leadership team for the business and influences strategic business decisions regarding the use of technology. Involved in internal, external and client audits. Works with parent company IT division.

Education:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related discipline OR equivalent work experience.

Experience:
- 12 or more years of IT and business/industry work experience.
- 5 or more years of leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.
- Extensive change management experience ensuring standards for development, infrastructure, security compliance etc. (e.g., ITIL and Sarbanes Oxley).
- Full life-cycle experience with multiple large-scale software products including design, implementation and maintenance.
- Understanding of the principals of object-oriented design, service-oriented architecture, exception handling, code performance analysis, project estimation, etc.
- Working knowledge of ASP.Net, C#, T-SQL, J++, Java Script, VB.Net, Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle stored procedures, triggers, packages, Oracle Reporting Tool etc.
- Familiarity with Visual Studio 2005/2008, MS SQL Server 2005/2008 and Oracle 9i or later, Visual Studio 6, MS Reporting Services, DTS and Source-Safe solutions such as VSS or TFS or PVCS, Oracle Reporting tool. Understanding of iSeries and Oracle Financials helpful.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
