Company Initiatives Our Client is an innovative start-up company in the healthcare industry with an aim to provide a comprehensive solution for the clinical office. Job Description The product management position is focused on providing the direction, management and revenue for a healthcare solution serving clinical practices. Responsible for increasingly complex and mature product(s), product launches, and development plans. This candidate will manage more than one product or those products that are critical to reaching company targets. Principal Accountabilities or Duties Overseeing and managing implementation of the product life cycle including defining overall product vision, strategy and design; Establishing business requirement definitions including functional specifications, prototyping, and end-user testing plans; Working closely with software development management to ensure successful launch/release and maintenance of the product; Understanding of healthcare clinical practice market including competitive product strategy and positioning; Collection and management of customer references and success stories; Working in conjunction with the executive team, develop and implement product pricing strategies including base pricing, maintenance and support, and value-added consulting services; Assisting on pre-sales and sales activities including presentations and participation in trade shows and conferences; Performing customer service management duties including soliciting feedback for business requirements, end-user documentation and training. In addition, this VP of Product Development will oversee the day-to-day issues involving the progress and maintenance of the product, coordinating feedback mechanisms and enhancement protocols, and contributing to research and development efforts to ensure the product and any future product extensions meet overall corporate business objectives. The VP of Product Development will collaborate with cross-functional areas (sales and marketing, engineering, business development, client services) to both plan product development and provide feedback and support in response to customer needs and market opportunities. Qualifications ? MBA and/or Engineering degree and healthcare background strongly preferred ? 7+ years of product management experience required ? Full-lifecycle product management experience with a Web service or content website ? Track-record of on-time, on-budget project delivery ? Substantial in-bound marketing (consumer and clinical market research) experience ? Strong management skills and experience leading teams of people through influence ? Strong written and verbal communication skills. ? Strong project management skills, detail orientation and organizational ability. ? Substantial experience establishing priorities and facilitating tradeoffs in priority-setting. ? Demonstrated ability managing long-term projects, and multiple projects simultaneously ? Strong analysis and problem-solving, especially in identification of root causes ? Prior experience with healthcare industry is required.
