Description
Responsible for the sales functions for all Neurovascular product lines including sales, sales management, and contract administration in the U.S. Responsible for setting overall sales strategy and implementing appropriate organizational and tactical plans to meet or exceed the US sales plan (+$100m) within the constraints of the planned operating expense budget.

Develops, in a team fashion with other senior staff, annual sales goals for the US market. Goals are aggressive but achievable, and will allow the division to meet or exceed its financial goals. Will direct sales organization to achievement of these goals. Develops and manages sales groups operating expenses, utilizing appropriate systems to optimize the division investment in the US sales organization.

Participates directly in high level/key account sales situations. Develops and manages a formal key account program that leverages company resources and monitors progress. Provides comprehensive training and development programs for all levels of the US sales team, including: clinical knowledge, product training, and sales competency development. Tracks sales performance against objectives and informs management of results. Provides input to marketing on new product positioning and pricing strategies. Captures and leverages best sales practices by working with other Division/Regional sales leaders and regularly attending the Sales and Marketing Council meetings.

Develops strategic compensation plans to drive to forecast plans. Develops a robust, reputable, recruiting process to constantly produce hirable candidates in all geographies across the U.S., and continues to change structure to appropriate model to best react and predict what sales model is needed for sustained leadership. Develop and implement systems and processes for the sales and management team, business plans, templates, continuing education, and P.A.D.R. development plans. Plan and execute national sales meetings, product launches, regional commercialization launch plans. Manage key customer visits to world headquarters.

Actively attend and be involved in NV Division Management Board & Committee meetings. Works closely with the marketing department (especially upstream vs. downstream). Work with all functions when appropriate, such as clinical, pre-clinical, regulatory, safety, quality, operations and marketing. Will be based out of the Fremont office.df-tc


Experience/Skills
Bachelors in Business Administration/Marketing (Masters Degree preferred) or equivalent. Minimum of 8 years sales management experience, preferably in medical devices industry or equivalent combination of education/experience required to perform at this level. Ideally managed $100m plus annual revenue in similar headquartered based role in the medical device arena. Prior management of first & second level sales management personnel preferred.
