1st VP Strategic Planning,

OVERALL ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION SECTION

The First Vice President, Strategic Planning will be responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of the strategic planning process.
The position will develop the strategic plan and measure the progress, train and foster the strategic planning methodology/culture and communicate the process to the management team, both internal and external.
The position will support senior management and serve as the liaison to the Strategic Planning Department, this will ensure the strategic plan is linked to budgets.
This position will participate and coordinate special projects related to current and future strategy.


1. Coordinates the activities, schedules, and agendas for strategic planning


2. Provides direct support to Senior Management

3. Proactively measures evaluates and communicates strategic planning progress

4. Effectively manages and updates the strategic plan

5. Researches, develops, and trains people on the use of policies, procedures, and tools that enhance strategic planning efficiency and effectiveness.

6. Handles special projects

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Working directly on the Strategic Plan to include drafting, monitoring and reporting on goals, scheduling and facilitating annual and monthly planning meetings

Working directly with Senior Management to coordinate special projects related to current and future strategy

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

1. Strong strategic planning skills

2. 5 years plus experience developing and implementing strategic planning methodology

3. Strong business acumen, management / organizational skills and professional style/presence

4. Excellent / professional communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills

5. Strong communication and presentation skills

6. Strong proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word, Visio and Excel.

7. Strong ability to meet tight deadlines

8. Resourceful and Innovative problem solver

9. Strong group facilitation skill

Prior exposure or work experience within an ERP environment

Qualifications:

Required Minimum Education

4 Year College Degree (Bachelor or Equivalent)

MBA degree preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

In-depth knowledge and understanding of every phase within Strategic Planning life cycle.
Working knowledge of ERP and ERP organizations.df-tc
