Position Overview:

Our client is seeking an executive level person who will head up the Company's development efforts in the US and overseas locations. This position demands prior success of building an organization and dealing with investors and customers.

Role and Responsibilities:

· Build, manage and lead a globally distributed engineering team reporting directly to the CEO.
· Participate as a member of the leadership team to implement the technology vision, strategies and priorities of the organization.
· Counsel the rest of the management team on technology, schedule and budget issues that may impact business goals.
· Work closely with the entire executive team, and coordinate releases in support of the executive team's goals.
· Responsible for all activities related to product scope, schedule, cost and quality and answer to the CEO and the Board of Directors.
· Turn customer requirements into scalable, reliable, maintainable and upgradeable technology product lines.
· Participate in creating a pipeline of new product ideas and a system for validating/implementing the same.
· Pioneer and champion a quality-oriented culture.

Requirements:

· B.S. in Computer Science or an equivalent engineering degree, from a premier university. M.S. preferred.10+ years in software development; 5+ years in management of software development / scientific and quality assurance teams in excess of 50 people, ideally, across multiple geographies.
· Must have a track record of successful delivery of software products to enterprise customers, preferably with Java based technology.
· Strong understanding of object-oriented software development practices with an emphasis on agile methodologies.
· Experience negotiating, structuring and managing OEM agreements with software toolset partners (embedded modules, SDK's, etc).
· Preferably, experience in the design, implementation, and management of applications in the supply chain domain utilizing advanced optimization techniques.
· Experience working within a small, entrepreneurial, dynamic, rapidly growing environment, and the desire to be a key contributor at the company.
· Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills.
· Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple product development streams, along with occasional operations-support projects.
· Develop a quality driven culture in the engineering organization.
· Experience recruiting, hiring, and retaining top talent.df-tc
