Description
The successful candidate will be a key member of the algorithm and signal processing software development team contributing to the innovative technologies that drive video products. In this role, the candidate will be identifying and building industry leading products in a dynamic fast-paced environment:

Develop and implement video processing algorithms to improve the compression efficiency of advanced video codecs such as the H.264 or Windows Media 9.
Design standards specific algorithms such as the rate control, mode decision; develop algorithms that are independent of video coding standards, such as pre- and post-processing, development of human perception models.
Create intellectual property through innovations and new ideas for video coding problems
Implement algorithms in a C/C++ simulation environment to evaluate subjective and objective performance criteria and to identify rate-distortion trade-offs.
Work closely with DSP experts to identify the computational complexity requirements for implementation on a hardware platform. Tune algorithms to simplify hardware portability and identify performance ? complexity trade-off.
