Job Description:
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) New Campus East (NCE) Active IT Program was established to provide the infrastructure services required to build out and maintain the NCE facilities. Senior Voice-Over-Internet-Protocol (VOIP) System Engineer expertise is needed to support NGA NCE activities.

The Principal VoIP Systems Engineer responsibilities will include: Provide expert level technical leadership in the area of voice systems. Understand SOO/SOR requirements. Work with customers across the IC to understand requirements. Coordinating with source data custodians to understand the data required to meet a specific requirement. Design and develop NCE Enterprise Voice over IP solution and services. Work with Engineering Review Board for approval to implement solution set. Test, implement, and troubleshoot Voice over IP Solution Set developed above. Perform testing and configuration of patches and upgrades of Router/Voice Gateway prior to operational deployment; BETA testing. Recommend network hardware, software, and operating systems acquisition to management.

Required Skills:
Active TS/SCI clearance, 8 years of VoIP experience, CCVP Certified, Cisco Call Manager Expertise, Experience with Cisco VoIP Systems Call Manager 6.0, DSN (Defense Switched Networks) Experience, Knowledge of End Office/PBX Configurations, Expertise in the implementation of secure/non-secure phone service. Expertise in WAN network facilities and protocol, Expertise in voice signaling Protocol SIP, H.323, MGCP, and SS7, TDM Circuits Experience, SONET, T1, DS3, ISDN, POTS, Frame Relay, ATM, Working knowledge IVR (Integrated Voice Response), Voice Mail and Management Platforms (Cable Records, Service Orders ), Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills.

Desired Skills:
CCIE Voice Certified, MS exchange server, Experience with Linux and Sun Solaris.

Required Education (including Major):
BS in a technical discipline with 8+ years of experience. May substitute educational requirements with additional years of experience.
