Description
National Utility Company seeks talented Voice Administrator to join their growing team in Alton Illinois. The candidate will be responsible for administrative, planning, operational, and technical aspects of telephony infrastructure. The candidate will provide 24/7 support of the telephony infrastructure (e.g., ACD, IVR, etc.) while helping to plan, analyze, construct, and implements/maintain the telephony infrastructure. Perform key support activities to install, configure, secure, upgrade, patch, troubleshoot, maintain, tune, monitor and manage the telephony infrastructure. Candidate will support technical design and configuration for emerging projects and is also responsible for keeping the project manager well informed of status of the development effort. The Voice Administrator will also ensure compliance with the Change Management process, and must have five or more years of experience in a call center. May require jobholder to work a rotational shift pattern to provide IT support outside of the normal working day. May require the jobholder to occasionally provide "on-call" out of hours support during the evenings, nights, and or weekends. Experience/Skills
The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, or in an equivalent field, or a combination of relevant education and experience. Candidate must have a complete understanding of Information Technology development practices. Advanced technical knowledge/understanding of the following is also necessary: the management of call handling systems for inbound call centers, ACD, CTI, IVR, 800# network services, local and long distance voice network services, and adjunct processing systems (voice mail, call logging, workforce management, and call accounting). Candidate must have personal computing experience with Microsoft Office Applications and strong organizational/problem resolution skills.
