Description
Modis is currently seeking a qualified Voice Support Technician an exciting contract opportunity with our client in the Western Chicago Suburban area.

The position is expected to start immediately and last for an initial duration of 24 months. There is a high likelihood of long-term contract extension and/or full time conversion on this project.

*Please note that this position will require shift work. Candidates must be willing to work first, second or overnight shifts on an as-needed/rotation basis*

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Voice Support Technician will be working with an enterprise customer to provide installation, maintenance and technical troubleshooting support services on Avaya G3 and TDM PBXs, dedicated T1/T3 lines, local/long distance and 800/toll free calling.

Primary responsibilities will be to serve as a Tier 1 point of contact in problem determination and technical troubleshooting for the voice equipment, including support for routers, PBX switches, Cisco Unity Voicemail, Avaya/Cisco IP Telephony equipment, T1/T3 lines and local, long distance and toll free calling.

The Technician will open and manage trouble tickets using Remedy or a similar tool, providing resolution or escalation as necessary.
