Description
REQUIRED GENERAL SKILLS:

Working with business analysts to map functional requirements to systems architecture.

Designing process frameworks, sequence diagrams and detailed component lists with the developers in the design and analysis phase.

Leading proof of concept and prototyping activities to assess whether the proposed architecture and components meet the non-functional requirements: reliability, performance, and maintainability.

Modify and refine architecture based on findings.

Experience in component designs to ensure best usage of the proposed architecture.

Coaching and mentoring team members on technology and architecture practices.

Ability to take ownership of the technical architecture throughout the project life-cycle including testing and implementation phases.

Coordinating with other architects across the domain and enterprise. Understand and support the technology standards and ensure processes are followed.

Identify and resolve obstacles to practicing and implementing architecture.

Experience working in a distributed computing environment. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.


REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Ability to identify and address technology gaps

VB and Web application design and development

.NET ASP and web development

HTML, XML, ASP, Javascript and Object Oriented programming (2 years minimum)

Exposure to Rational Unified Process or Microsoft GUID and Use Case approach to requirements


RESPONSIBILITIES:
