Web Application Developer - Web Applications - JS-1303

A Jersey City, NJ client has immediate opening for Web Application Developer - Web Applications.

Candidate will have sound understanding of the software development life cycle and posses good insight into design patterns and designing applications using OOPS. This person will be involved in reviewing functional specifications and creating design documents and technical specifications for other developers on the team. The position requires excellent written and oral communication skills. The position interacts with other Engineering development teams. Contribute to Web application feasibility studies. Review and understand Web application functional specifications. Contribute to Web application design specifications. Work with off shore development teams implementing Web applications. Work with Software Quality Assurance to validate the correct implementation of systems and applications. Interact with other engineering teams and other stakeholders as appropriate. Implement client and server side Web applications. At least 3 years of experience as senior software engineer. At least 7 years experience as a software engineer. Experience working with offshore development teams. Strong knowledge of the SDLC and SQA/SCM tools. Demonstrated ability in designing and implementing Web Services and Web applications using SOA. Demonstrated ability to contribute to design specifications. Demonstrated experience with OOA/D/P, UML, design patterns, frameworks, and tools. Java/J2EE programming experience in developing Rich Internet Applications using Flex and Web 2.0 technologies.
