We are currently seeking an individual to perform the following job duties for our client in the Financials industry in Greensboro, NC:
The candidate will be responsible for managing the time and development activities of External/Internal Web Applications for the Internet Architecture team. The applications maintained and developed within this group will support many of the company's product releases, strategic initiatives and business processes that help the company function efficiently and effectively. The majority of Web App Dev team is tenured group and team synergy is imperative and the candidate will need to support and build on the TEAM model.
Using superior management skills, the position will need to aptly perform the following duties:
. Create and Maintain development project plans.
. Multi-task, prioritize, document, track and monitor issues, including escalation and follow-through.
. QA testing (client acceptance testing and user acceptance testing) to meet our clients needs and internal controls
. Manage and revise the Application Life Cycle as required
. Maintain high availability for the entire Internet Architecture Team's Web Application Portfolio.
. Oversee all development for new Internet projects to be delivered on-time, on-task and on-budget.
. Conduct weekly meetings with development staff.
. Personnel Development. Continue to mentor/grow developers to sustain and/or achieve ?A? Player status.

Experience/Skills
The candidate must have 5 to 7 years of experience and knowledge of application development as well as a proven track record of effective management and leadership skills. Previous experience as a developer or a heavy background in a development environment is required. Experience related to allocating a development team to ever changing projects and priorities.

As a Web App Development Manger, the candidate will need an expert understanding of J2EE fully cycle development, Web Services, Weblogic and Websphere.

From the backend perspective, the candidate must have a solid understanding of relational databases.

Must have excellent communication skills especially related to Internet Standards and Guidelines in regards to the Internet Architecture team's strategy.

The ideal candidate would also have experience in the Life Insurance industry.
