In order to develop solutions for the NGA and NSG learner audiences, the Curriculum Management Branch requires the support of an experienced e-Learning multimedia developer. The Multimedia Developer is responsible for and assists others in the development of interactive programs such as Web-Based Training (WBT), Computer-Based Training (CBT), Kiosks, Websites and is responsible for developing content (programs) in a timely manner within budget.

The media developer will support synchronous and asynchronous training products for distributed learning to meet the defined needs of the College s learners.

2.0 TASK DESCRIPTION

Specific duties may include:

  1. Work with subject matter experts and the instructional designer to develop distributed learning products
  2. Program and support software development projects for various customers.
  3. Work with members of the production and instructional design teams
  4. Work with a variety of multimedia technologies including digital audio, video, CD-ROM, DVD and internet/intranet related tools.
  5. Develop and program highly interactive computer-based and Web based training courses using the latest development software and methodologies.
  6. Develop graphic solutions for training courses

0 SKILLS AND QUALIFICIATIONS

The minimum skills and qualifications are:

  1. Two years experience in technology-based course development.
  2. Three years of experience with creating web-based, computer-based and other instructional training programs
  3. Strong ability to produce training programs using any or all of the following Articulate, Captivate, Lectora, and Flash
  4. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of ActionScript and JavaScript (ie, HTML, XML)
  5. Experience with Macromedia/Adobe development tools (ie, Flash, Dreamweaver, etc).
  6. Ability to work well individually and in a team production environment.
  7. Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  8. Understanding/experience with e-Learning standards, to include SCORM and Section 508 requirements
  9. Must have graphic art experience using related tools along with a flare for creativity
  10. Experience using distributed learning management tools such as Learning Management Systems and Content Management Systems
  11. Experience in choosing optimal delivery technologies to meet learning needs
  12. Ability to develop highly-interactive distributed learning products
  13. Understanding/experience with e-Learning standards, to include SCORM and Section 508 requirements
  14. Ability to teach and mentor others
