Position Overview:

The Web Designer collaborates with the Ann creative team on all aspects of daily web design. This requires the ability to work under tight deadlines and see projects through from concept (wire frames) to functional, flushed out editorials.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

- Designing web change outs and ensure that the corporate and brand identity is reflected consistently online

- Heavy production on certain elements of the site to include: color changes, headers, small navigational graphics and seasonal corporate imagery

- Concepting seasonal editorials such that the merchants vision is translated online

- Creating complex web editorials around unique concepts while working with programmers to ensure the process of moving from design to a fully functional website with interactive features

- Collaborating daily with Marketing to ensure that the needs of the company are being communicated clearly across our web platform and all deadlines are met

- Design of email marketing campains

- Effectively present initial creative concepts and communicate functionality

- Daily interactions with the copywriter/proofreader and Sr. Designer to ensure editorial content fits within the parameters of design and supports all projects

- Concept, design and completion of affiliate projects, often co-branded, such as splash pages, animated banners (flash and .gif) and micro-sites/editorials


Position Requirements:

- 4+ years of e-commerce design experience
- Fashion and/or agency background preferred
- High proficient knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Image Ready is critical
- Proficient in Flash
- Action script a plus
- Appreciation of fashion, photography and technology
- Proficient on Macintosh platform, using OS X
- Skillfully handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of people and personalities
