Description
Robert Half Technology is looking for a Web Designer / Developer for one of our clients in the Jacksonville, FL area. The ideal candidate will design, produce and maintain various websites while contributing to the overall department strategy. The ideal candidate will also provide skills in creating direct/e-mail marketing and commerce campaigns to drive viewership, revenue and build brand consistency. The candidate will show a drive to be at the forefront of web technologies and a desire to learn and work in a very fast paced, close-knit, high performance team environment.Responsibilities:• Create design layouts, including site navigation, layout of content, well thought out user experience and consideration for scalability and visual hierarchies• Ensure that all layouts, content and experiences are using the latest standards in design and usability• Build websites using technology that conforms to universal standards, browser compatibilities and search engine optimization best practices• Creation and management of technical due-diligence• Provide creative presentations, training, maintenance and update procedures to internal and external clients as needed• Recommend design and functionality of new features based on research, industry and usage trendsdf-tc

Experience/Skills
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:• Bachelors degree in communication, marketing, design or other discipline related to primary responsibilities• 3+ years of experience in web design and development, with experience in standards-compliant cross browser friendly coding • Knowledge and experience with cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc)• Advanced knowledge of HTML, XHTML, CSS, Dreamweaver, Flash, digital imaging and illustration using Photoshop and Illustrator and page layout in either InDesign or Quark• Working knowledge of Actionscript, Javascript and some familiarity with PHP, ASP and AJAX• Extensive experience working on a Mac and PC platform• Ability to work in a team environment and to communicate in a clear way to provide any necessary training to staff and faculty• Experience optimizing website code and content for search engines• Familiarity with CRM (Consumer Relationship Management) and CMS (Content Management Systems)• Working knowledge of distribution of content engine (CDN/Caching)• Familiarity with common Web APIs such as Google, Ebay, Amazon, etc.Please contact Travis Webb at (904)997-9960 or Travis.Webb@rht.com to learn more about this opportunity.
