Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Web Developer will be responsible for assisting with development, testing and maintenance of the various applications. This may include Web or Desktop Applications utilizing the latest technology and Client and Server-Side Scripting Languages, SQL Database design and coding, including reporting. The Web Developer will be involved in various aspects of the development lifecycle, including design, implementation, release and maintenance. Provide on-going support to the Data Management team and Technical Manager on an ad hoc basis

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job.)
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with concentration in web development and/or database management or similar field
* Minimum 3+ years working in an Internet development environment
* Proven experience with MS SQL Server and willingness to learn other DBMS platforms such as MySQL
* Proven experience with data manipulation to produce reports that guide decision-making
* Proven working knowledge of web servers and operating systems (Windows/Linux/Apache/IIS)
LAMP Environment, Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, Flash Action Scripting, SQL, JavaScript)
* Proven knowledge and experience with generating reports
* Proven familiarity with Internet protocols and standards such as - DNS, FTP, SSH, HTML, XML, SNMP and other protocols
* Demonstrated computer proficiency with SQL or similar to write data queries, Access, Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.)
* Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail
* Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, partnering skills, and an energetic and positive attitude
* Demonstrated strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
* Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with excellent attention to detail
* Demonstrated strong partnering skills, with a service-oriented attitude
* Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and recommend process improvements
* Ability to fulfill assignments with minimal coaching and guidance from others
* Ability to uphold strong documentation and communication procedures and capabilities
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, dedicated to customer service

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Proven experience using Business Objects or strong aptitude for rapidly learn new analytical and reporting software applications
* Proven knowledge of Vignette
* Proven knowledge of Java/JSP
* Proven knowledge of Access Macros, Forms, and Reporting
