Description
Systems Integration & Development, an IT solutions provider located in Rockville, Maryland is currently seeking a Web Developer to provide the implementation, testing, and maintenance of intranet and Internet applications. The successful candidate will have experience developing web applications in an enterprise environment. This is a full time position located in Washington, D.C. Additional roles and responsibilities include: ? Supports two web-based applications that write to an Informix database. ? Work in two and three tiered web architecture. ? Follows existing programming and style guidelines to maintain consistent website look and feel and consistent quality of code. ? Performs regular maintenance on content for functionality of new and existing sites. ? Maintains documentation, procedures, and working instructions in accordance with Federal and Departmental web guidelines. ? Aids in the development and implementation of information exchange on web projects. ? Analyzes the functional business process (SDLCM) for the support and execution of web projects. ? Formulates specific implementation plans and/or evaluates the effectiveness of actions taken or recommended. ? Develops new site functionality or code-base to decrease maintenance time and increase productivity. Experience: ? Minimum of 3 years experience developing web-based applications. ? Bachelor?s degree in a related field is preferred. Four years of related work experience may be substituted for degree requirements. Skills: ? Solid knowledge of developing applications using Java, JavaScript, and Eclipse. ? Experience with DB2 and Informix. ? Experience with two and three tier web architecture. ? Strong website development and maintenance skills. ? Ability to be detail oriented with an emphasis on accuracy and delivery of high quality assignments and projects. ? Strong verbal and written communication skills. ? Must be organized and detail-oriented. ? Ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic and tactful manner.
