The Web Developer candidate will work closely with the ABC Family business and creative teams to work on the day-to-day maintenance and enhancements of their respective websites, web applications, feeds, and related technology. As such, this candidate should excel in all components of web development including: layout, HTML, DHTML, CSS, AJAX, and integrating dynamic Flash components into a website, should be an expert in layout, working from wire frames, comps, or other high-concept documents.
The candidate for this position, working with other team members as necessary, is expected to be able to drive the development of a website enhancements and/or maintenance projects to resolution.This candidate should be able to deliver projects successfully and on time with little oversight required.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
  • Expert knowledge of DHTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experienced in JSP, PHP, ASP, or similar object-oriented server-side scripting languages.
  • Proven ability to work with members of third party development teams.
  • Experience with a Content Management System (GoPublish a plus).
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously. Experience using libraries and frameworks like Ajax libraries in Javascript.
  • Experience working with dynamic Flash (Flash Remoting, XML, JavaSWF).
  • Must be interested in TV.
    SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Four-year college degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 3 or more years of web development, including expertise in HTML,DHTML, CSS, AJAX,
  • JavaScript and at least one of the following - ASP/JSP/PHP or a similar object-oriented server-side scripting language.
  • Prior Tea template experience a plus.
  • Flash MX

  • Photoshop
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate technical issues to a diverse non-technical audience
  • Extraordinary troubleshooting skills in a distributed web hosting platform.

  • Ability to perform / learn new tasks outside the candidate's immediate range of skills.
