Description

Robert Half Technology is recruiting for a C#.NET Web Developer to help our client build an ecommerce content management system. The C#.NET Web Developer position is a one-month project engagement joining a team at a local creative/design agency. Here's your chance to work in downtown Seattle and take the bus to work!

    Description of the C#.NET Web Developer position:
  • The scope of this role is to build dotnetnuke site modules with e-commerce functionality and provide resources to enhance the user experience.
  • Building a user experience map for the new checkout process.
  • Define an end-to-end checkout process flow.
  • Build elements required on each page to facilitate an order and organize the information shown to users for each use case in the process.
  • Design a flow that is both simple and easy for your users, but maximizes the potential to close on an order and prevent cart abandonment.
  • Create and customize a payment processing and exception handling pipeline using the Authorize.net toolkit. Authorize.net provides a suite of technology tools that are compatible with the technology used to build the original client Web site and corresponding CMS. These tools allow integration of the payment processing engine directly with existing merchant account so payments and credits for orders are processed directly with the bank.
  • Create key e-mail communication templates to track customer order progress and reduce call volumes for simple order questions, confirmation, receipts, exceptions (backordered items, “where is my order?”, etc.). E-mails will be HTML-based allowing for a rich branded communication experience while being sent by an automated process within the e-commerce framework.
  • Customize message handling functions.
  • Customize the e-mail module to ensure appropriate e-mails are generated based on pre-defined warehouse and order workflow events.

Experience/Skills
  • 5+ years overall experience in Web Development
  • 3+ years of experience in back-end web developing using such technologies as ASP.NET, VB.NET and C#, web services and creating custom controls.
  • 2+ years professional experience developing with database products and technologies such as SQL Server 2005, stored procedures, triggers and DTS packages.
  • A strong understanding of how HTML, AJAX, and other web-related technology, effect design and layout.
  • 2+ years of experience in front-end coding such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and DOM manipulation.
