Web Developer

Job Description:

An industry leader, ranking among the largest of life insurance companies in the United States is seeking a Web Developer to come and join there team.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Resolve problems in a production environment and extending functionality within current Web based applications
• Develop new solutions and systems
• Understand how and when to incorporate technologies to provide the very best service in responding to business needs
• Acquire and assimilate knowledge about current systems both to understand the relationship to business needs and objectives and to understand the dependencies between systems

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Web based software development environments and demonstrated ability in J2EE development
• Skills and experience with databases; ability to verify and create complex views/queries
• Experience with Rational Application Developer and WebSphere is a plus
• Knowledge of network and hardware relating to the advanced SQL, and stored procedures delivery of Internet Services
• Knowledge of languages such as .NET and C is a plus
• Bachelors degree in MIS, CIS or Computer Science required
• Experience with the full product life cycle including requirements gathering, prototyping, testing, QA and deployment
• Strong written, verbal, customer service and analytical skills are necessary

Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with constant change in a more than satisfactory manner.
