Description
Working under the supervision of the Senior Software Engineer, the Web Services Engineer will develop major Database Applications for NAVSEA Logistics Center, Fairfield, CA using a web services solution. This hands-on role requires a mix of practical domain experience in developing Web Services and Web Services consumers using WSDL, UDDI and SOAP as well as very strong and current software development skills in the Jakarta Struts control framework. Knowledge of Web Services security technologies such as XACML, SAML, XKMS, XML Encryption and XML Digital Signatures is desirable.


Requirements: Overall 5+ years of experience in application software development. 5+ years of experience in large distributed system development and architecture definition delivering Enterprise Application Integration (EAI). Minimum of 3 years of subsystem design responsibility. 3+ years of customer interaction at technical and management level. Hands-on experience with Enterprise Java Beans. Hands-on experience with UDDI, WSDL. Hands-on experience with Jakarta Struts. Hands-on experience with XML, SOAP-based web services. Proficiency and knowledge of Web Services security technologies such as XACML, SAML, XKMS, XML Encryption and XML Digital Signatures. Proficiency and knowledge of Windows NT/2000 Server, SQL Server, SMTP, POP3. Knowledge and understanding of Oracle applications (TopLink, Collaboration Suite). Ability to work with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to shine within a constantly changing environment which pushes technical limits while delivering under very aggressive schedule pressure. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with blurred lines of responsibility and high ambiguity.
