Web Software Developer - Back-end Development, PHP, Perl, Ruby

Based in Boston, MA, a highly reputable organization in the music industry is looking for a Web Software Developer. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a creative and dynamic environment. We are looking for someone with lots of energy, experience and a passion for Web software development and music!

Responsibilities:

- Develop a professional network for online students and business professionals

- Build clean, self explanatory and well-documented code

- Work in a diverse integrated environment of open source technology, including Linux, SQL, Ruby on Rails, OpenACS and Object Oriented PHP

- Develop, deploy and maintain integrations among existing enterprise systems and new partners

Must have skills:

- Must have BS or BA in information Technology, Computer Science or related field

- At least 3 years experience developing Web applications using open source tools

- Must have expert knowledge in HTML, AJAX, SQL and CSS

- Must have expert level knowledge in two of the following languages: Tcl, Ruby, Perl, Python, PHP, Lisp, C, C++ or Java.

- Strong skills in building modular software with Object Oriented design as well as experience building traditional procedural libraries

- Experience with UNIX command line skills, with systems administration experience on Linux, Solaris and BSD (preferred)

- Must be able to work on-site in Boston, MA
