CDI has an exciting opportunity waiting for you! We are looking for exceptional people to help us grow! We have an immediate need for a Web Software Engineer!

Looking for a contract Web Software Engineer to complement its team of applications engineers developing a PHP Web application.

The candidate will have:
-Bachelor=E2=80=99s degree in Computer Science or related field.
-Minimum of 5 years of professional experience designing, developing and maintaining Web applications.
-Strong PHP programming and object-oriented design skills.
-Demonstrable success designing fast, reliable, secure, scalable user-friendly Web interfaces for database-oriented applications.
-Expert knowledge of the LAMP platform and its use in high-performance, high-availability environments.
-In depth understanding of PHP, Ruby or other modern, framework- capable programming languages with knowledge of both backend data storage architectures and front-end interactive technologies such as HTML, DHTML, DOM, AJAX, JavaScript, Ajax, , CSS and layouts, Web 2.0, Linux environment.
-Experience in XHTML, XSLT, XML, XPATH and XQuery is a plus.
-Expert knowledge of the MySQL database server in particular its use in Web applications.
-Strong English technical writing and communication skills.
-Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies.
-Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
-Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
-Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
-Experience designing applications for educational environments extremely desirable, but not essential.

This person will:
-Translate functional specifications into coherent Web interface designs for educational products suggesting programming and design alternatives.
-Research, document, and implement program requirements and specifications.
-Consistently code and document Web applications according to specifications.
-Work with other project teams in responding to technical and user support issues.df-tc
