Description
G&K Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Web Systems Administrator to administer and maintain all aspects of Internet/Intranet environments to include IIS and Tomcat.

In this role, you will have extensive contact with internal customers and other Information Technology (IT) professionals to identify, analyze, research, and resolve system issues. You will work under limited direction and use your extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience through at least 5 years of experience in the areas of web environment administration to:

  • Provide support for all authorized application software packages. Assist in design and hardware specifications based on end user requirements.
  • Provide support to users, performing troubleshooting, diagnostics and evaluations to determine solutions and alternatives. Analyze user needs and recommend, procedures, software packages, and/or tools that increase productivity.
  • Install equipment and software necessary to meet the defined requirements. Configure, update and maintain all operation systems, and apply upgrades and fixes to existing applications. Monitor network performance, maintain system logs.
  • Plan, maintain and administer all aspects of the web environments to include IIS and Tomcat servers.
  • Administration of Web users, including adding/deleting users and maintaining LAN security (i.e. assign user rights/restrictions) and file attributes/ Ensure that security procedures are established and enforced. Responsible for LAN backups / data recovery and disaster recovery
  • Gather and track OS, and web services Performance Monitor and other logs to optimize systems throughput and reliability.
  • Interact with Security Engineers to insure that systems meet security requirements.df-tc

    Experience/Skills
    To be successful in this role, you should possess the following education and qualifications:
    •BS/BA in computer science, math or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    •5-7 years of hands-on experience in a broad array of Windows hardware/software products/tools, especially web server administration with relevant technologies.
    •5 years implementing and supporting large enterprise Microsoft Windows environments, in a broad array of Windows hardware/software products/tools.
    •Experience with various aspects of networking, particularly with high availability technologies such as clustered servers and load balancing.
    •Experience with Apache Web Servers, Sun One Java Web Servers, and F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager preferred.
    •In-depth web server skill set, with a thorough understanding of load balancers and HTTPS/SSL communications.
    •Certification and or experience administrating a corporate network infrastructure, including the management of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WINS.
