Assignment Summary:
To understand the technical needs of Humana?s web environment and align those needs to the overall IT and business strategies within the organization.

The applicant will be responsible for the support of the IIS, WebLogic, WebSphere, and Apache web application servers as well as the proxy and load-balancing technologies that deliver them to both internal and external customers. Additionally, the evaluation, testing, documentation and integration of new web based applications will be required. They should possess good communication skills, and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical audiences. Prior experience supporting web platforms in a distributed network environment is preferred.

Key accountabilities include:
- Install, test and implement systems software including: customization, documentation resolution and support.
- Provide technical consulting, and customer support to all areas of Information Systems and business users.
- Provide support for business projects and initiatives as required.
- Performs 24x7 on-call support.
- Provides training and leadership for less experienced associates.

Technical Skills:
- Operating Systems: Windows Server 2000, Windows Server 2003, Linux/Unix
- Load-balancer Technologies: Cisco CSS
- Proxy Technologies: Whale eGap, Oracle WebCache
- Web Technologies: MS IIS5/6, WebLogic, WebSphere
- Application Technologies: VB, C#, ASP, COM+
- Business Technologies: Lotus Notes, Windows XP, Novell

Additional Competencies:
- The right candidate should have a thorough understanding of web related technology, including network, hardware, software and operating systems.
- This person should possess a solid understanding of networking and including routing, architecture, and design.
- This person should possess development skills and experience to the point of understanding the function of programming languages.
- This person should possess a strong ability to troubleshoot complex system problems, and be able to engage and work with the proper technical areas to resolve them.
- This person should possess the ability to partner with other departments within the organization to implement web based solutions to business challenges.
- A BS in an IT related discipline is a minimum requirement for this position.df-tc
