Windows Administrator (Network/Systems Data Comm Sr.)

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows 2003 Server, Advanced Server edition
  
• Strong knowledge of, WINS, DNS, DHCP
  
• Technical proficiency in hardware and systems software including network topology
  
• Experience implementing third party packages and working with vendors

Position Description:

The Administrator will be required to deliver support services for both software and hardware for a service oriented support organization. This includes servers, network monitoring applications and network devices which include Cisco Routers, Switches and wireless AP's. Essential duties and responsibilities will be to implement networking components and applications, along with supporting Microsoft server systems and software applications; troubleshoot day-to-day software or hardware problems within the server environment; provide installation and support of all software packages required by the business units; forecast and proactively recommend strategic hardware/software upgrades or replacements; recommend and schedule patches and firmware maintenance; maintain and support WINS, DNS and DHCP server; provide tactical and strategic input on overall network planning and related projects; interface with various vendors to coordinate resolution for hardware and software problems.

Position provides daily operations and maintenance of Microsoft systems including Windows 2000/2003 server, SQL Server 2005 Administration, Microsoft IIS, including Website administration, and Network Administration of Cisco routers, Switches AP's and VPN remote access.

Also support system planning and network development for Microsoft SQL database design & maintenance, IP address management, operational procedures, Dell PowerEdge servers, configuring & troubleshooting, and support of Cisco Routers, Switches, VPN, and Cisco Wireless.
