Skills required:-experience with Windows NT, 2000, 2003-experience with HP/Compaq server and storage hardware-familiar with VMWARE and CITRIX- 5 years experience maintaining and/or modifying complex local area networks (LANs), to ensure system availability and functionality.-Familiar with the principles of ensuring systems backups and systems availability scheduling.-experience with Domain architecture, DNS and Wins.-A very strong comprehension of TCP/IP as it relates to Windows NT.-Experience in Systems Management tools - SCOM, SCCM, Netbackup, ePO-Exposure to NetIQ DRA valuable.-Exposure to network (Cisco) and Unix/Internet infrastructures-Exchange 5.5, 2000, 2003 desired
-Responsibilities-Technical support for the on-going delivery of a 5000+ Microsoft NT infrastructure.-Monitoring, supervision and trouble reporting for Microsoft NT servers, fault diagnosis and isolation; and escalate problems/potential problems to proper support staff, vendors and clients-Monitors network capacity and performance.-Makes recommendations concerning projected micro resource requirements, including personnel, software, equipment, security and facilities.-Directs performance tuning and technology refreshment.
