Description
Responsibilities and Technical Qualifications Windows System Engineer - Windows Server Administrators MUST HAVE strong troubleshooting skills in enterprise windows environments. This person will be responsible for problem solving, supporting project implementations, and Virus and Patch management. This position is part of the Windows support area and will work with 500+ servers in North America. There is a requirement that this person be a part of 24x7 on call support. Purpose/Description: Provide Windows support for the production environment and projects related to the Windows platform. This position's primary focus currently is the Windows platform projects.

Requirements:

Skills & Knowledge: Should be a Senior skill set. - Advanced IIS administration and troubleshooting skills - Advanced Windows NT/Windows 2000/Windows 2003 administration and troubleshooting skills - Good understanding of front-end/backend and multi-tiered application environments - Good understanding of TCP/IP and networking principals - Good understanding of backup, restore, and disaster recovery methodologies - Basic understanding of SQL Server 2K and the query language - Knowledge of web-based applications - Familiarity with HTML, scripting languages - Experience with VMWare required - Experience with HP/Compaq Proliant hardware a plus - Experience with Systems Management tools a plus - Desire to learn and keep up with new technologies - Citrix Experience a plus Clustering skills would be huge plus Minimum Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. - 3-5 years of professional experience required - MCSE on Windows 2000 preferreddf-tc
