We are currently seeking a Windows Systems Administrator for a permanent position in the Greensboro - Burlington NC area. The candidate would be responsible for installing new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems. Installs, maintains repairs, and troubleshoots server hardware and software applications. Supports all network storage needs. They will perform all backup and recovery tasks. This person acts as the final point of escalation and resolution for technical server support. This is a specialized role that requires various technical skills.

Major Responsibilities and Functions
. Configure and maintain Windows servers, including 2003 servers.
. Support the help desk by managing assigned case load and offering technical support.
. Support all Windows server hardware and software
. Perform all backup and recovery tasks as well as troubleshoot all backup failures.
. Manage Microsoft's Active Directory as it relates to hardware, users, groups and policies.
. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates information technology systems operations.
. Supports all storage needs, troubleshoots network storage problems, performs updates and general maintenance. Documents problems and solutions and serves as the point of contact for network storage related issues. Allocate storage space, plans for future projects, reviews hardware and software configurations and makes suggestions for appropriate storage or backup systems.
. Maintains technical expertise by keeping abreast of the latest technology advances and suggest avenues to maintain technical skills.
. Administers, maintains, develops, and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company and systems for disaster recovery.
. Support LAN/WAN connectivity.
. Perform administrative duties required.
. Perform project related duties.
. Perform other duties as requested by management.

Position Requirements
Education: 4yr degree or equivalent experience
Experience: 4+ years experience with server hardware and software. 4+ years experience in network storage support. 4+ years experience in systems administration.
Specialized Training/Skills: Skilled and formally trained with Microsoft server operating systems and desktop operating systems. Skilled and formally trained on IBM server hardware and storage area networks. A+ Certification. MCSE (Microsoft Certified Engineer).

Highly desired skills:

. IBM Servers and IBM blade technologies/blade chassies
. SAN: Storage area networks - preferably IBM experience
. Nice to have: TSM (Trivoli Storage Mgr.)
. Nice to have: Familiar w/ Lotus Notes
